“Acting up on Easter Sunday”

“New shoes, new clothes and an Easter basket. Don't matter because I want what I want.”

This drawing commemorates Easter Sunday in the black community, particularly in Macon, GA where I grew up. I have fond memories of everyone receiving Easter baskets, participating in Easter egg hunts, attending Sunday service, and, most importantly, enjoying Grandma's cooking.
